Manchester City send Marmoush to Tottenham on loan with £60m obligation to buy

Omar Marmoush has left Manchester City for Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy the Egypt forward for £60m next summer, adding another significant name to a lengthy list of Etihad departures this transfer window.

Marmoush becomes one of several high-profile players to exit City since Enzo Maresca took charge as head coach. Tijjani Reijnders, James Trafford, Rodri, and Savinho have all been sold this summer, while Bernardo Silva and John Stones departed on expiring contracts at the end of last season.

The club’s overhaul is not yet complete. Newcastle United are understood to be edging closer to signing Nico Gonzalez from City, with further sales expected before the transfer window closes.

On the incoming side, City have struck a deal with Lille for midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, whose signing is expected to be confirmed imminently. Palmeiras forward Allan is also set to join the club.

City are additionally pursuing Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, though negotiations have yet to produce a breakthrough. Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo has also been linked with a move to Manchester in recent days, suggesting the club’s recruitment activity will continue at pace through the final stretch of the window.
