Manchester City complete pre-season tour with Atletico Madrid and K-League All Stars fixtures in Seoul
Manchester City have finalised their summer schedule, adding games against the K-League All Stars on August 5 and Atletico Madrid on August 9 at Seoul World Cup Stadium to an already-confirmed clash with Inter Milan in Hong Kong on August 1.
Manchester City have completed their pre-season tour itinerary for the summer, confirming back-to-back fixtures in Seoul against the K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid following an earlier-announced game against Inter Milan in Hong Kong.
City will face a representative K-League side at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday, August 5, before taking on Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid at the same venue on Sunday, August 9. The tour opens on Saturday, August 1, in Hong Kong against Inter Milan — a rematch of the 2023 Champions League final.
The return to Seoul carries some history. City visited the South Korean capital in 2023 and faced Atletico in a sold-out fixture that was delayed 40 minutes by heavy rain, with the La Liga side winning 2-1. The club’s first visit to Seoul dates back to 1976, when they played South Korea three times.
Peter Laundy, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at City Football Group, said: “We are delighted to confirm the final fixtures of Manchester City men’s pre-season tour and we’re incredibly excited to be returning to Seoul — this time for two fixtures. We received such an exceptional welcome when we visited in 2023, with a sell-out crowd for our fixture against Atletico Madrid and thousands of fans attending our open training while we were in the city. We’re looking forward to an exciting rematch, connecting with our fans in Korea and spending more time in the country this year.”
Kick-off times for the Seoul fixtures are yet to be confirmed. Tickets will be available to official supporter club members and official members on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two tickets per eligible fan. Tickets go off sale on July 20.
