Another fight at Real Madrid as dressing room teeters on the brink of implosion
Months after the altercation between Valverde and Tchouaméni, two other Real Madrid players allegedly came to blows during training, according to Spanish radio Cadena SER. The Madrid dressing room remains deeply divided despite José Mourinho's arrival.
Another fight allegedly broke out between two Real Madrid players, according to Spanish radio Cadena SER, just months after the physical altercation between Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni that had already weakened the group’s cohesion.
According to journalist Anton Meana, who spoke on the El Larguero show, the internal climate at the club has not improved since that episode: “The only problem is that the atmosphere in this dressing room is still as icy as it was five months ago.” José Mourinho’s arrival on the bench this summer has apparently changed nothing about the situation: “The players who were already not getting along well with Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa continue to have poor relations. There is no team spirit in this squad.”
This internal tension comes at a particularly delicate moment for Real Madrid, which must tackle several major fixtures, including the Clasico against FC Barcelona and two Ligue des Champions matches. According to Cadena SER, the situation surrounding Kylian Mbappé is also contributing to the tense atmosphere: “This coldness in the dressing room, which even Mourinho’s intensity has failed to dispel, combined with the turmoil around the Mbappé affair, has created a tense climate, far from ideal as they approach this crucial month of October.”
In response to these revelations, Real Madrid’s management maintains a firm official line. The club states that Mbappé is doing well and gives no indication that Mourinho would refuse to support him publicly at his next press conference. Real Madrid officially sees no controversy in its star’s recent actions and does not anticipate whistles from the Bernabéu directed at him.
The identities of the two players involved in this latest altercation have not been specified by the Spanish radio station.
