Olympique Lyonnais have officially confirmed the signing of Mohamed Ouédraogo, a 23-year-old Burkinabé left-back, from Austrian club Altach. According to Foot Mercato, the transfer cost the Rhône-based club €2.8 million, with the player tied to the club until 2031.
Ouédraogo becomes Lyon’s third summer recruit, following the already confirmed arrivals of Danish midfielder Mads Bidstrup and Belgian winger Julien Duranville. The Lyon club is thus displaying a particularly active summer transfer window from the opening weeks of the transfer window.
Formed and developed in Austria, Ouédraogo provides an additional option on the left side of Lyon’s defence. At 23, he fits into the recruitment policy of young profiles with strong potential that Lyon has adopted in recent seasons.
