Luis Enrique one win away from erasing Laurent Blanc from PSG records
With 125 wins on the Paris Saint-Germain bench after the 4-2 victory against Barcelona in the Champions League, Luis Enrique can surpass Laurent Blanc this weekend, the club's all-time record holder with 126 wins.
Luis Enrique is just one win away from the absolute record for victories on the Paris Saint-Germain bench. After the 4-2 success against FC Barcelona in the Champions League, the Spanish manager now has 125 wins at the helm of the capital club, joining Luis Fernandez in second place in this historic ranking.
Only one name still precedes him: Laurent Blanc. The former France national team manager had accumulated 126 wins during his time at PSG between 2013 and 2016, a period in which he won eleven domestic trophies — three Ligue 1 titles, three League Cups, two French Cups and three Champions Trophies — before being removed from his position. Luis Enrique can match this mark this weekend in Ligue 1 against Olympique Lyonnais.
Beyond this approaching record, Luis Enrique has established himself over three years as one of the major figures in the club’s history. The two consecutive Champions League titles have considerably strengthened his imprint on the Paris project, far beyond the numbers alone.
Meanwhile, Laurent Blanc finds himself without a position. The 1998 World Cup winner was sacked by Al-Ittihad at the end of September 2025, the day after a 0-2 defeat against Al-Nassr of Cristiano Ronaldo. He has since been free of any commitment.
