Liverpool's summer window isn't over: five deals that could still happen in September

The 20-year-old winger impressed during pre-season and has been handed brief first-team exposure, coming off the bench for 12 minutes in the draw against Newcastle before sitting unused against Nottingham Forest. Barcola’s arrival has further squeezed the left-wing pecking order, making a loan move an attractive option for the 12-cap Wales international. The Eredivisie window closed at midnight, while Scotland’s Premiership and Belgium’s Pro League shut on 3 September. Turkey and Portugal — closing on 5 and 15 September respectively — offer additional routes.

Harvey Davies

With Alisson, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman and Vitezslav Jaros all ahead of him in the goalkeeping hierarchy, Davies faces a difficult path to senior minutes at Anfield. The 22-year-old, who has been at the club since 2011, is out of contract next summer, and reports earlier in the window suggested Liverpool intended to keep him as cover until January before reassessing. That timeline could be accelerated to give him meaningful game time. Windows in Belgium, Austria, Hungary and Scotland close on 3 September, with Croatia (7 September) and Greece (15 September) providing further options.

Federico Chiesa

The Italy international arrived from Juventus last summer but has struggled for consistent minutes under Arne Slot. With his role at Anfield uncertain, a temporary or permanent exit before European windows close remains a possibility being monitored by clubs on the continent.
