Liverpool target Adrien Truffert in £60m move to replace Milos Kerkez at left-back
Liverpool are reportedly ready to raid Bournemouth for a second successive left-back, with Spanish outlet Fichajes claiming the Reds are targeting Adrien Truffert for £60m — 50 per cent more than they paid for Milos Kerkez.
Liverpool are being linked with a second consecutive left-back signing from Bournemouth, with Spanish outlet Fichajes reporting that the Reds are prepared to pay £60 million for Adrien Truffert — a fee that would surpass any sale in the south-coast club’s history.
The 24-year-old Frenchman stepped into Milos Kerkez’s boots at the Vitality Stadium after the Hungarian’s move to Merseyside in 2025, impressing first under Andoni Iraola and then under new head coach Marco Rose. His form earned him a call-up to Zinedine Zidane’s France squad during the most recent international break.
Kerkez’s own exit fee was reported to be around £40 million, meaning Liverpool would be spending roughly 50 per cent more to sign his direct replacement. The Hungarian has faced criticism at Anfield, with veteran left-back Andrew Robertson still preferred ahead of him at times last season.
Bournemouth’s record sale sits at approximately £60 million — a figure matched by the departures of Dominic Solanke and Antoine Semenyo to Premier League rivals, and approached by Ilya Zabarnyi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain. Transfermarkt currently values Truffert at €35 million, suggesting any deal at the reported asking price would represent a significant premium.
FourFourTwo understands that Bournemouth are under no financial pressure to sell key assets at present, though the club may face a difficult summer regardless. Midfielder Junior Kroupi has attracted interest from major clubs, while Alex Scott has reportedly turned down several contract extension proposals in recent months.
Liverpool’s links to Bournemouth run deeper than the playing staff. Iraola himself was recruited from the Cherries in the summer, while former sporting director Richard Hughes also served the club before departing Liverpool. Whether that pipeline extends to Truffert will likely become clearer as the transfer window approaches.
