Liam Rosenior appointed Paris FC manager until 2028
Paris FC officially confirmed the signing of 41-year-old English manager Liam Rosenior from Chelsea on Tuesday. He has committed until 2028 and will take charge starting Thursday.
Paris FC officially announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as new manager, replacing Antoine Kombouaré. The 41-year-old Englishman has signed until 2028 and will take charge of the squad from Thursday, when collective training resumes.
Rosenior returns to Ligue 1 after his spell at RC Strasbourg in 2024. He subsequently joined Chelsea last winter, where his record on the Blues bench stood at 11 wins, 2 draws and 10 defeats before leaving the London club.
Antoine Arnault, representing the family that owns Paris FC, expressed his satisfaction in an official statement. « My family and I are very happy to welcome Liam to our club and to see him return to our championship, in France. I have always been attracted to his playing philosophy and what he was building with his teams, often composed of young players. »
The executive also outlined the scope of the project entrusted to the British coach: « In close collaboration with our sporting director, Marco Neppe, he will be able to shape our team. Many players have expressed their enthusiasm and we share it because it perfectly illustrates the project we want to implement to establish Paris FC sustainably in Ligue 1 and to progress each year. »
A former professional defender who switched to coaching in 2020, Rosenior began his managerial career at Derby County before taking charge of Hull City. His profile, associated with the development of young players, matches the ambition displayed by the Parisian club, which was promoted to Ligue 1 last season after many years in the lower divisions.
