Kate Scott presents Ballon d'Or 2026 alongside her husband Malik Scott, former heavyweight boxer
Journalist Kate Scott, master of ceremonies for the Ballon d'Or 2026 at London Palladium Theatre alongside Thierry Henry, walked the red carpet with her husband Malik Scott, a former professional boxer turned coach.
Kate Scott walked the red carpet at London Palladium Theatre in London on Monday, October 26, alongside her husband Malik Scott, as she co-presents the Ballon d’Or 2026 for the fourth time with Thierry Henry.
Malik Scott, 46, from Philadelphia, had a sixteen-year professional career in the heavyweight division. He turned professional in 2000 and retired in 2016 with a record of 38 wins — including 13 by KO — three losses and one draw. His three defeats came from Derek Chisora, Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz. Since retiring from the ring, he has worked as a coach.
The couple met in 2021 at an event surrounding the Wilder-Fury fight, which Kate was covering as a journalist. Malik Scott was later invited onto the boxing podcast she hosted, and their exchanges continued on Instagram. Their relationship became public in April 2023, when Kate shared a photo of her partner kissing her on the cheek.
In September 2024, the couple married in Malibu at a ceremony held on a helipad, with views of the Pacific Ocean.
