Kane open to Saudi move as Al Hilal hold talks with England captain's representatives
Harry Kane's representatives have held talks with Al Hilal over a potential transfer, with the Bayern Munich striker said to be open to moving to Saudi Arabia. The 33-year-old enters the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena.
Harry Kane is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal having held talks with the England captain’s representatives over a potential transfer, according to a report from talkSPORT. The Bayern Munich striker, 33, is entering the final 12 months of his contract with the Bundesliga champions, raising fresh questions about his future in Germany.
Al Hilal have placed Kane at the top of their shortlist for a centre-forward, a list that also includes Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. It remains unclear whether any move would happen in the current transfer window or at the end of the season when Kane’s deal expires.
Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 and has now returned to pre-season training after an extended break following England’s involvement at the World Cup. Despite the swirling speculation, the striker struck a measured tone when addressing his contract situation last month.
“We obviously said we wanted to talk after the World Cup and after my holiday,” Kane said, via Kicker. “So I’m not sure exactly when, but they’ll start this week, next week… we’ll start those talks. Like I’ve said before, we’re calm, I think they’re calm with the situation. Obviously now is the time to start talking, because there’s only a year left. That’s important. But both sides are relaxed.”
The development marks a notable shift in the narrative around Kane’s long-term future. While a contract extension at Bayern remains a possibility, the reported openness to a Saudi move suggests the striker is weighing all options before the final chapter of his career. Bayern, as Bundesliga champions, will be eager to resolve the uncertainty quickly given Kane’s central importance to their attacking play.
