Justin Bieber joins BTS, Madonna and Shakira for first-ever World Cup final halftime show
Justin Bieber has been confirmed as a co-headliner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19, marking the first time in tournament history the title game will feature a halftime performance.
Justin Bieber will co-headline the halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, FIFA has confirmed, with the performance set for New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19. The announcement makes this the first time in tournament history that the World Cup final will feature a halftime show.
Bieber joins a lineup that already includes BTS, Madonna and Shakira. The decision to stage a halftime performance at the final follows FIFA’s experiment at the Club World Cup last summer, where the final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain featured sets from Doja Cat, J Balvin and Tems, along with a surprise appearance by Coldplay.
Bieber arrives at the World Cup final off the back of a high-profile stretch of performances. He headlined Coachella earlier this year — a run that earned him the fan-coined title of “Bieberchella” — and also performed at the 2026 Grammy Awards. He was also present at Los Angeles Stadium for the United States’ opening ceremony ahead of their group stage match against Paraguay.
With the quarterfinals now set, the tournament moves into its knockout rounds on Thursday, opening with France against Morocco at 4 p.m. ET.
