Injured Kvaratskhelia Revives PSG's Interest in Eli Junior Kroupi for Over €100M
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's long-term injury is prompting PSG to explore the winter transfer market. According to the Mirror, the Paris club is targeting Eli Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth), valued at over €100M, competing with Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s long-term injury is reigniting speculation around a winter recruitment drive at PSG, with Eli Junior Kroupi’s name resurfacing persistently in the British press. According to the Mirror, the Paris club is among serious contenders for the Bournemouth forward, alongside Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
When asked about the possibility of reinforcements, Luis Enrique chose caution without closing the door. “No injury means we have to sign new players,” said the Spanish manager. “At the start of the season, I said we could handle everything even if there would be major injuries. But we remain open to opportunities. It’s a possibility we have.” The sporting direction is monitoring the market while banking on internal solutions: the integration of Mika Godts and Ferran Torres continues, while young players Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou are accumulating playing time.
At 20 years old, Eli Junior Kroupi is going through a period of recovery after a fracture of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot sustained in autumn. His decisive goal against Leeds confirmed his return to form. The former FC Lorient player, recruited by Bournemouth for around €13 million in 2025, has seen his market value soar on the English market.
The financial package is the main obstacle. Under contract with the Cherries until June 2030, Kroupi is under no pressure to leave, allowing Bournemouth to stand firm on very high demands. As early as last summer, figures exceeding €100 million were circulating for the player, already seduced at the time by the Paris project.
No formal negotiations have been initiated between the two clubs so far. But with offensive absences mounting in Paris, Kroupi’s name should continue to fuel rumours as the January window approaches.
