Lyon concluded its preparation weekend with a 6-3 victory over Swiss club Saint-Gall on Saturday, bringing the Gones’ goal tally to eleven in three days.

Rémi Himbert is the standout performer of this Lyon off-season. Already the author of a hat-trick against Mâcon (National 2) on Wednesday in the 5-2 victory, the striker repeated the feat against Saint-Gall, finding the net in the 9th, 19th and 38th minutes. Adil Hamdani (14th and 77th), Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez and Enzo Molebe (82nd) completed the scoring.

These performances confirm the strong form of Lyon’s youth contingent as the club approaches a busy season ahead. Lyon, qualified for the Ligue des Champions, must navigate the preliminary rounds of the competition, which means a very early start to the 2025-2026 campaign.

The next preparation test is scheduled for Wednesday at 18:30 in Bourgoin-Jallieu, against Servette FC.
