Adil Hamdani will not join Paris Saint-Germain. The young attacking winger for Olympique Lyonnais, 17, has chosen to continue his journey with his academy club, ending Paris’s hopes of signing him before the transfer window closes.

PSG had turned to Hamdani to anticipate the departures of Bradley Barcola, announced to Liverpool, and Ibrahim Mbaye, also courted by the English club. The player’s contractual situation — not yet tied to OL by a first professional contract and one year away from the end of his academy contract — had attracted the attention of several clubs, including Paris, ready to pay Lyon a fee to convince him.

Negotiations had become tense in recent weeks: Lyon had excluded Hamdani from first-team training during the discussion period, while PSG attempted to take advantage of the contractual window to accelerate. Despite this concrete interest, Paris’s executives failed to convince the player.

According to L’Équipe, Hamdani ultimately decided in favor of OL, where he intends to continue his development. One fewer option for Luis Campos and Luis Enrique, who will need to identify other attacking alternatives just days before the transfer window closes.
