The two teams meet for the second consecutive year at this stage of the competition. In 2024, Lionel Rouxel’s France side got the better of Belgium (3-2), before losing in the final to Portugal (0-3).
Both teams followed nearly identical paths through the group stage, each recording two victories and one defeat. This similar record gives this semi-final a flavour of balance and revenge, with France seeking to return to a final it left empty-handed last year.
