Spanish outlet AS reported that Corberan may have “written the epitaph of his first stint as Valencia’s coach” in Seville. The former West Brom manager, appointed in December 2024, gave a guarded response when pressed on his future: “I’ve said that I always have the confidence and the strength, but sometimes answering that question after a defeat isn’t the most appropriate thing to do.”

For Liverpool, the instability at Valencia presents a significant concern. A managerial change so early in the season could disrupt Elliott’s development and limit his opportunities to impress, potentially forcing the club into another difficult decision over his future when the loan expires next summer.

Elsewhere, reported Liverpool target Lamine Camara has spoken publicly about his failed move to Chelsea from Monaco on transfer deadline day. The Blues were left frustrated after a £47 million deal to sign the 22-year-old midfielder collapsed at the last moment. Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro subsequently confirmed that Camara had requested to leave the club.

According to reports, Liverpool instructed Camara to wait, with a move to Anfield next summer described as a genuine possibility. Speculation over a potential transfer had been building throughout the window after the player was linked with the Reds as they opted against strengthening their midfield this summer.
