Dembélé exits with thigh injury in 18th minute against Barcelona
Started up front by Luis Enrique in the PSG-Barcelona Champions League clash, Ousmane Dembélé had to leave the field in the 18th minute after suffering a thigh problem, replaced by Ferran Torres.
Ousmane Dembélé lasted less than twenty minutes in the PSG-Barcelona Champions League clash on Tuesday evening. The French striker, started up front by Luis Enrique, had to give way in the 18th minute following a muscle alert to his thigh.
It was during an acceleration down the left wing that the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner immediately grabbed his thigh, quickly understanding that he would not be able to continue the match. He himself requested to be substituted, handing his place to Ferran Torres, who proved active by creating several chances in the minutes following his introduction.
The exact nature and severity of the injury have not yet been clarified, but the timing could not have been worse for PSG, engaged in one of the most anticipated clashes of the competition’s knockout phase.
