Carmouche and Bishop rematch for inaugural PFL women's flyweight title in Chicago

Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop will collide for the inaugural PFL women’s flyweight championship at PFL Chicago on October 16 at Wintrust Arena, the Professional Fighters League announced. The bout marks the first new title introduced since the PFL’s merger with Most Valuable Promotions.

Carmouche (26-8) already holds a win over Bishop (11-3), having stopped her in the third round of their first meeting last August. The rematch gives Bishop a chance to reverse that result and claim the belt in the same city where the PFL has been building a growing fanbase.

Bishop has responded strongly to that defeat, recording back-to-back first-round stoppage victories over Borena Tsertsvadze and Ariane Lipski da Silva. Carmouche, meanwhile, has not stood still — she submitted Viviane Araujo in June to push her current winning streak to four fights.

The October card will be the PFL’s second visit to Wintrust Arena and its first major Chicago event since the merger reshaped the promotion’s structure and ambitions. With both fighters carrying momentum into the rematch, the flyweight title fight shapes up as one of the more compelling women’s MMA bouts of the autumn calendar.
