Brito knocks out Fazil in front of Dana White to seal UFC contract at DWCS 2026

Kaik Brito earned a UFC contract by stopping Namo Fazil with a right hand early in the third round at Dana White's Contender Series 2026 Week 2. The Brazilian welterweight, who failed to earn a contract at DWCS in 2023, says he deliberately timed the finish in front of UFC CEO Dana White.

Kaik Brito secured a UFC contract at Dana White’s Contender Series 2026 Week 2 by knocking out Namo Fazil with a right hand early in the third round of their welterweight main event.

Fazil had wrestled control of the fight with sustained pressure through the middle rounds, pushing Brito onto the back foot. But with his back against the cage in the third, Brito spotted White watching from ringside and chose that moment to unleash the finishing blow.

“I move different,” Brito said in his post-fight interview. “I cut angles in a completely different way. And throughout the fight, it looked like I was going for it all. Believe me, I was saving some things; I knew I was gonna need it at the end. And I saw Dana right there, I thought, ‘I’m gonna do this right in front of the boss. He’s gonna see it.’ I’m gonna be ready… I want to fight as soon as possible.”

The finish was a long time coming for the 20-6 Brazilian. Brito had his first shot at a DWCS contract in 2023 but fell short against Oban Elliott. He returned to the regional circuit, going 3-1 with finishes in all three victories to earn a second opportunity.

This time, Brito made no mistake. The knockout was decisive, and the UFC contract that followed was immediate. He has now signalled his intention to debut in the promotion as quickly as possible.
