Bloodied Till survives knockdown to outpoint Romero by unanimous decision at BKFC 94

Darren Till moved to 2-0 in bare-knuckle boxing on Saturday, surviving a knockdown and a heavy cut to defeat Yoel Romero by unanimous decision in the BKFC 94 main event. All three judges scored it 49-46 for Till across five cautious but occasionally brutal rounds.

The fight was defined as much by what didn’t happen as what did. Both men were reluctant to overextend, keeping the big-shot count low throughout the early rounds. The most significant moment of the night came from Romero, who landed a punch that sent Till down to one knee just as a round was ending. When Till rose, he had a deep cut bleeding heavily beneath his eye.

Rather than retreat, Till responded by turning up the aggression in the fourth and fifth rounds. His short-range work and clinch game proved decisive in the judges’ eyes, even though he never managed to put Romero on the canvas in return.

After the decision was announced, Till wasted no time in calling out future opponents. Asked about a potential rematch with Tommy Fury or a long-discussed showdown with Mike Perry, Till was direct: “We can get it on in this ring here,” he said, addressing Fury. “I’ve called [Mike Perry out]. I’m not scared of anyone.”

The post-fight atmosphere grew heated when BKFC champion Lorenzo Hunt entered the ring and challenged Till, telling him “you fought like a bitch” against Romero. Officials intervened quickly as the two continued to exchange words before being separated.

A fight between Till and Perry remains the most commercially appealing match-up available to BKFC, but Perry recently picked up an injury during a return to MMA, leaving the timeline for that contest uncertain.
