BKFC president hints at Liverpool stadium fight for Darren Till as Jake Paul talks fade
BKFC president David Feldman has revealed the promotion holds options on Darren Till's next several fights and is exploring a potential Liverpool stadium event, while leaving the door open for a Jake Paul bout if scheduling allows.
BKFC president David Feldman has confirmed the promotion holds contractual options on Darren Till’s next fights and is weighing a Liverpool stadium show as a possible venue, following the collapse of talks that would have seen the former UFC title challenger face Jake Paul.
Till, who signed a three-fight deal with BKFC and has gone 2-0 under the banner so far, had been in discussions to meet Paul before the influencer-turned-boxer opted instead for PFL welterweight Cedric Doumbe. Feldman told MMA Fighting that while outside opportunities remain on the table, BKFC intends to be Till’s primary home for the foreseeable future.
“There is going to be a longer relationship with BKFC and Darren Till,” Feldman said. “We have options on his next few fights. There is a fight or two outside of BKFC that he would like that would be a really, really big payday for him. That’s why we did it as an option.”
Feldman drew a parallel with Mike Perry’s boxing detour to face Paul, acknowledging that fighters deserve the chance to capitalise on major paydays when BKFC’s own schedule cannot accommodate them. He indicated a fight announcement for Till could come within two weeks, which would take precedence over any Paul matchup.
“If we have a fight that I think we’re going to have in the next two weeks to announce, then obviously he’s fighting for BKFC,” Feldman said. “If we don’t, then there is an option for him to possibly fight a Jake Paul or something like that. I think Darren Till can hang in there with Jake Paul, has a very good chance of beating him as well, so it could raise his profile a lot and he has a chance to make a lot of money.”
On the venue front, Feldman floated the idea of taking Till’s next BKFC appearance to a football stadium in his home city of Liverpool, though a return to the United States also remains an option. With BKFC 100 and the next KnuckleMania card both on the horizon for 2027, the promotion appears keen to keep Till central to its marquee events.
“We’re going to have some big names for Darren Till in the mix very, very shortly,” Feldman said, teasing an imminent opponent announcement without naming the prospective challenger.
