Paris Saint-Germain faces the final hours of the summer transfer window with a pressing need on the wings, following the sale of Bradley Barcola to Liverpool for €145 million including bonuses. The imminent departure of Ibrahim Mbaye to Aston Villa for €55 million further widens this gap, despite the arrivals of Maghens Akliouche and Mika Godts.

Luis Campos and Luis Enrique are maintaining their line: no convenience signings. The profile sought must meet precise technical and tactical criteria and fit the collective project, even under the pressure of urgency. With the financial returns generated by these two sales, the club nonetheless has significant room for maneuver.

Several leads explored this summer could be reactivated according to L’Équipe. Éli Junior Kroupi, the young Bournemouth winger long targeted, is suffering from a foot injury that should keep him sidelined for several months, making a last-minute push highly unlikely. Adil Hamdani (Lyon) and Laciné Megnan (Montpellier) have also been approached, but a signing in the final hours of the window appears improbable for both profiles.

Moreover, Campos has ultimately abandoned plans to recruit a versatile centre-back, despite being keenly sought in mid-summer. This defensive work is postponed to the winter window or summer 2027. In goal, following the failure of the pursuit of goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, no reinforcement is expected.

In total, PSG shows eleven arrivals against ten departures confirmed or imminent during this summer transfer window. The question of one final attacking signature remains open, but the Paris leadership should not force matters if the ideal profile is not available.
