Ballon d'Or 2026: PSG and Luis Enrique target historic double in London
Defending champions, PSG and manager Luis Enrique are among the finalists for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, with the 70th edition taking place in London on October 26. The complete list of nominees will be unveiled on July 8.
PSG and Luis Enrique, both crowned at the 2025 edition, are competing to retain their respective trophies at the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with the ceremony taking place in London on Monday, October 26.
The Paris club is among the five finalists for the Men’s Club of the Year award, alongside Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Bodø/Glimt and Flamengo. A selection that reflects the diversity of European and continental achievements from the past season.
Luis Enrique, for his part, is selected in the Men’s Coach of the Year category alongside Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Luis de la Fuente (Spain), Unai Emery (Aston Villa) and Vincent Kompany (Bayern Munich). The Spanish manager would thus seek to become the first coach to win the trophy in two consecutive years.
A notable change of venue for this 70th edition: after years at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the ceremony moves to London for the first time. The complete list of nominees across all categories will be unveiled on Tuesday, September 8.
