Trent Alexander-Arnold is struggling to establish himself at Real Madrid, and Liverpool is already exploring the possibility of bringing him back. This is what Cadena SER reports, according to which officials from the English club have made contact to assess the feasibility of the operation.

Since his free transfer from Liverpool in summer 2025, the England international has accumulated only 345 minutes of playing time under José Mourinho. Of the thirteen matches played by Real Madrid across all competitions, he has featured in only seven, and has completed just one in its entirety — far from the status of undisputed starter he likely hoped to find at the Casa Blanca.

On the Madrid side, the situation is also raising questions. Real Madrid is weighing the implications of a potential departure, notably because of the close relationship Alexander-Arnold maintains with Jude Bellingham, his compatriot and a key figure in the dressing room, a factor highlighted by the Spanish media.

Financially, the matter remains manageable for all parties. Recruited without a transfer fee, the defender cost Real Madrid only ten million euros in ancillary fees. Under contract until June 2031, his market value is currently estimated at around sixty million euros. The form a potential departure would take — loan, permanent transfer — remains to be determined, pending a decision from both clubs.
