World Cup 2026 Round of 16 odds: France, Brazil and Argentina among heavy favourites
With the 2026 World Cup knockout stage taking shape, France are priced at -1800 to eliminate Paraguay, while Brazil (-245) face Norway and the USA meet Belgium in a near-even contest.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup has reached its Round of 16, the second knockout stage in an expanded 48-team tournament, and the latest odds as of 2 July reveal a mix of heavy favourites and genuinely competitive ties.
France are the most dominant price in the confirmed matchups, listed at -1800 to advance past Paraguay on Saturday 5 July — a reflection of the gulf in class between the two sides. Canada face Morocco in the other Saturday fixture, with Morocco favoured at -300 to progress, while Canada are available at +225.
Sunday’s schedule offers more intrigue. Brazil are priced at -245 to see off Norway, who return odds of +196 to cause an upset. The day’s second match pits Mexico against England, with England marginally favoured to advance at -134 against Mexico at +110 — one of the tighter calls of the round on paper.
Monday’s standout fixture is arguably the most evenly matched of the entire round: the United States against Belgium, with both nations listed at -110 to advance. The moneyline reflects the same uncertainty, with the USA at +165, Belgium at +170, and a draw available at +230.
Beyond the confirmed ties, several nations are still competing to secure their place in the last 16. Argentina are the overwhelming favourites to qualify from their group at -2000, while Colombia (-550) and Portugal (-340) are also strongly fancied. Switzerland (-235) and Egypt (-148) sit in the middle of the market, with Australia (+122) the only side in that group priced as an underdog to advance. Algeria (+186), Croatia (+260), Ghana (+380), and Cape Verde (+1160) face the steepest climbs to reach the knockout stage.
