Topps is marking two decades of Match Attax with a free public event at Olympia London on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, centred on an official Guinness World Records attempt for the most trading card packs opened simultaneously.

Running from 11am to 3pm during the October half-term break, the festival is open to families at no cost, though capacity at the Hammersmith venue is strictly limited and tickets must be reserved in advance via Eventbrite.

The record attempt will see attendees open trading card packs in a single coordinated effort, making participants directly part of the milestone. Beyond the headline attempt, the event features dedicated card-swapping zones where collectors can trade duplicates to complete their sets, as well as football skill challenges and interactive competitions throughout the day.

Popular football content creators and collecting personalities are scheduled to appear, hosting activities and meeting fans on the day. Attendees will also get an early look at the new 2026/27 UEFA Club Competitions Match Attax range, which includes updated squad statistics, player ratings, and rare insert cards.

Match Attax launched in 2006 and has since become one of the most recognisable football trading card products in Europe, with generations of supporters building collections and swapping duplicates in school playgrounds. The 20th anniversary event is positioned as both a celebration of that history and a live record-breaking occasion families can say they were part of.
