Dani Olmo joined FC Barcelona only in 2024, but his future at the club could already be called into question. According to Sky Sports News, Bayern Munich is interested in the 28-year-old attacking midfielder and could make an offer during the winter transfer window.

Yet the Spanish international is enjoying a solid start to the season in blaugrana colors. With three assists in La Liga, he confirmed his good form during the international break by providing three more assists with the Spanish national team. Having returned to Barça after being trained at La Masia, he had joined Leipzig before returning to Catalonia last summer.

On Bayern’s side, the interest would be explained by the Bavarian club’s desire to anticipate potential departures in attack, notably those of Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala. Olmo, capable of playing in several attacking positions, would fit the profile sought by Munich.

For now, no concrete offer has been submitted to either the player or FC Barcelona. Olmo himself would remain focused on the current season and would show ambition to win titles with Barcelona. The Catalan club, for its part, has not yet been officially approached.

The sporting context at Barça makes the situation delicate to manage, however. With eight wins in as many La Liga matches, the Catalans sit atop the championship, driven notably by the performances of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal in attack. Olmo’s place in the attacking hierarchy remains relative, which could weigh in negotiations if Bayern were to formalize its interest by January.
