Tickets on sale for first-ever British & Irish Lions Women's tour of New Zealand in 2027

Tickets for the inaugural British & Irish Lions Women’s tour of New Zealand are now on sale, with the historic three-Test series against the Black Ferns set to take place across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in September 2027.

For a limited period, selected children’s tickets are priced at NZD$1 and adult tickets at NZD$27. The first Test will be held at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland on 11 September, followed by Wellington Regional Stadium on 18 September, with the series concluding at Te Kaha in Christchurch on 25 September. Tour fixtures against the Black Ferns XV and an Invitational XV will also take place in Whangarei and Hamilton.

The squad will be drawn from the best players across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales — the same four unions that have long supplied the men’s Lions. Head coach Jo Yapp described the appointment as a career-defining moment.

“To lead the first-ever British & Irish Lions Women’s Team is a privilege,” Yapp said. “I know from experience how challenging it is to face the Black Ferns on home soil but that’s exactly what makes this tour so exciting. The players will be making history every time they pull on the Lions jersey and we hope supporters in Britain and Ireland and across New Zealand get behind the teams to make this an unforgettable tour.”

Black Ferns head coach Whitney Hansen welcomed the occasion from the host nation’s perspective. “There is nothing quite like the opportunity to be part of something for the first time, and this tour will be a huge moment for everyone involved,” she said. “For fans, this is a chance to be part of history and get behind women’s rugby.”
