Manchester City’s December schedule is now set after the Premier League confirmed its TV selections, with three of the club’s fixtures handed new kick-off times.

City open the month by hosting Leeds United at the Etihad on Wednesday, December 2, with a 7.30pm start. Three days later, Pep Guardiola’s side travel to Brentford for a Saturday night fixture kicking off at 8pm — a late slot that will create significant logistical difficulties for travelling supporters. It marks the second time this season that City fans have faced a capital away trip moved to an evening slot, following the opening-day game at Crystal Palace, which was played on a Friday night.

The third rescheduled fixture sees City host Chelsea — the former club of City’s current manager Enzo Maresca — on Saturday, December 12, with a 5.30pm kick-off. City’s home game against Hull the following weekend, on Saturday, December 19, retains its standard 3pm slot.

The fixture changes come with City in strong form. Guardiola’s side sit top of the Premier League after seven consecutive victories in the top flight, the most recent a win over Ipswich Town.
