Roy Keane leads the seeds as Mirror's Pundits Ballon d'Or last-16 draw pits Henry against Carragher

Mirror Football’s Pundits Ballon d’Or has reached the knockout rounds, with the full last-16 draw confirmed and voting now open for fans to decide which television analyst advances to the quarter-finals.

Top seed Roy Keane, who collected more votes than any other pundit during the group-stage heats, faces Glenn Hoddle in what looks a favourable opener for the straight-talking Irishman. Second seed Ally McCoist is paired with Jamie Redknapp, while Ian Wright meets lucky-loser qualifier Michael Owen — the only fourth-placed finisher to make the cut across the five heats.

The standout tie of the round is the all-CBS clash between Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher, seeded eighth and ninth respectively. The pair are regular on-screen sparring partners, which should make their head-to-head vote a closely contested one.

Elsewhere, a Battle of the Garys sees Gary Lineker take on Gary Neville, Micah Richards faces Rio Ferdinand in a clash of larger-than-life personalities, and Alan Shearer is drawn against Peter Crouch. Wayne Rooney, who drew attention for his punditry during the World Cup, meets Danny Murphy in the final last-16 tie.

Several prominent names did not survive the heat stage. Daniel Sturridge, Joe Hart, Joe Cole, Martin Keown, and Robbie Savage all exited before the knockout rounds.
