RC Lens returns to Champions League with behind-the-scenes documentary series
As RC Lens makes its return to the Champions League, the club will be followed by a multi-episode documentary series, with their first match away at Slavia Prague next week.
RC Lens returns to the Champions League next week with a trip to Slavia Prague, and their European adventure will be captured by a documentary series filmed inside the northern French club.
The broadcaster of the competition announced at its back-to-school press conference that it would follow the Sang et Or’s journey “from the inside” throughout the season. The series, split into several episodes, will notably highlight Florian Thauvin and the daily life of the Artois club. The first episode is expected in October.
The Lensois’ European calendar promises to be ambitious. The group includes notably two prestigious fixtures in the final matchdays of the league phase: hosting Manchester City on January 20, then a trip to Liverpool on January 27. These encounters could extend the documentary epic well beyond winter, if sporting results are on point.
For RC Lens, this return to the most prestigious European stage represents a rare opportunity to write themselves into club history, in front of a public whose passion is recognized across the continent.
