Ralf Schumacher weds Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne in St Tropez ceremony
Former Formula 1 driver and Sky Germany analyst Ralf Schumacher has married Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne in St Tropez. The couple, who went public in July 2024 and announced their engagement in February 2026, shared emotional tributes on social media to mark the occasion.
Ralf Schumacher, the former Formula 1 driver and Sky Germany pundit, married his partner Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne in St Tropez, with Bousquet-Cassagne confirming the news through a heartfelt statement posted on social media.
Schumacher, 50, competed in Formula 1 for a decade with Jordan, Williams and Toyota, accumulating six grand prix victories, 27 podiums and 329 championship points before retiring from the sport. He has since built a prominent media career as an analyst.
Bousquet-Cassagne marked the occasion with an extended message addressed to his new husband. “Before all those who love us, I stand here with a heart full of joy and emotion to tell you how much I choose you — you, forever,” he wrote, alongside photographs from the ceremony. “Since we met, my life has taken on a completely different colour. You have brought light to my sometimes ordinary days, laughter that heals everything, and this sweet certainty I had never felt before.”
He continued: “From today on, I am officially your husband and you are mine. For the rest of our lives, I want to explore the world by your side, share the little joys of everyday life as well as the great adventures, and grow together in this love that makes us stronger. I love you endlessly, my husband, my everything.”
The couple first met in Monaco around 2022. Schumacher came out as gay publicly in July 2024 via an Instagram post featuring a photograph of the two watching the sunset together. They announced their engagement on 10 February 2026.
The wedding will be documented in the Sky Germany docuseries Ralf and Étienne, We Say Yes, which is set to offer a closer look at the couple’s nuptials.
