PSG narrowly avoided defeat on Lille’s pitch on Friday evening during the second matchday of Ligue 1, overturning a two-goal deficit in added time thanks to Vitinha (90+1) and Marquinhos (90+6) to snatch a 2-2 draw at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

After two matchdays, the Paris club has yet to secure a single victory and remains winless over three matches. At his press conference, Luis Enrique nonetheless downplayed concerns. “We need to improve, that’s for sure, but I’m not worried about what I saw,” said the Spanish manager, emphasizing “the difficulty of playing away, in this stadium, in a Champions League-level match.” He also felt that “at this point in the season, it would be very dangerous to be at 100%.”n
Ferran Torres, meanwhile, failed to capitalize on the opportunity. Starting for the first time as PSG’s main striker — five days after his decisive brace against Rennes during a match — the Spaniard delivered a performance well below expectations. L’Équipe gave him a rating of 3, the worst of the match, tied with Beraldo and Warren Zaïre-Emery.

The sports daily detailed his shortcomings: only 14 touches of the ball, a right-footed attempt too wide in the 18th minute, and two off-target headers, including one from an Akliouche cross originally intended for Marquinhos. A missed first start that underscores that competition remains wide open in attack at PSG.
