Salahdine Parnasse is cleared for his UFC debut after hitting the 155-pound lightweight limit at Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC Paris at Accor Arena. His opponent, veteran Dan Hooker, also came in at championship weight, confirming the main event is on.

Parnasse arrives in the UFC with considerable pedigree. The Frenchman was a two-division champion in Poland’s KSW promotion, holding gold simultaneously at lightweight and featherweight while racking up seven successful title defenses. His transition to American competition began six months ago with a first-round knockout of Kenneth Cross at the inaugural MVP MMA event in Inglewood, California — a statement performance that accelerated his path to the world’s biggest MMA stage.

Hooker, by contrast, is a UFC stalwart with 24 fights inside the organisation. The popular New Zealander enters Saturday’s bout on a two-fight losing streak and is looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat for the first time in his professional career — a run that gives Parnasse’s debut an immediate sense of consequence in the lightweight contender picture.

All 28 fighters scheduled to compete on Saturday made weight without issue. The full results from the official weigh-ins are as follows.
