Paris FC will acquire 23-year-old striker Pablo Pagis from FC Lorient for €15 million excluding bonuses, according to L’Équipe. The signing is expected in the coming days and represents the club’s most expensive recruitment since its promotion to Ligue 1.

Pagis established himself as one of last season’s breakout stars in Ligue 1, compiling 10 goals and 2 assists in 26 matches with the Merlus. His performances had caught the attention of Lyon, Lens, Strasbourg and Marseille, but Paris FC succeeded in meeting the demands of Lorient president Loïc Féry, set at €15 million, to which bonuses estimated at €1.5 million are added.

Son of former international Mickaël Pagis, the young striker joins a club on an upward trajectory since its takeover by the Arnault family. After a first Ligue 1 season deemed disappointing despite a budget exceeding €120 million — the fourth-largest in the elite — Paris FC has already recruited this summer Emmanuel Mbemba, a defender developed at PSG, and Diego Coppola, right-back from Brighton, the latter for over €16 million. The arrival of Liam Rosenior on the bench completes this change of direction.

The Paris club does not intend to stop there. It is also targeting Lassine Sinayoko, AJ Auxerre’s goalscorer, for whom an initial offer of €7 million has been submitted. Auxerre’s management is demanding a minimum of €8 million to enter negotiations.
