Bayern Munich thrashed Osnabrück 4-1 on Wednesday evening in the DFB-Pokal round of 32, despite conceding an early goal on the second-division club’s pitch.

The trophy holders were caught cold by a stunning opponent goal but quickly regained control of the match to win comfortably. Harry Kane was the architect of qualification with a brace, including a penalty, while young Tom Bischof also got his name on the scoresheet.

Michael Olise also found the back of the net, though not without some leniency from the referee according to observers. The French international is confirming brilliant form since the start of the season: he had already scored in the German Supercup against Dortmund, then in the Bundesliga against Stuttgart.

The Munich side have thus qualified for the last 16 of the competition and return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Schalke 04.
