Ndjantou called up for first Ligue 1 squad of season against Le Mans
Deprived of Dembélé, Mayulu, Mendes and Longoni for hosting Le Mans this Saturday (20h45), Luis Enrique calls upon Quentin Ndjantou, absent from all league squads since the start of the season.
Quentin Ndjantou features for the first time this season in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 squad, for the home match against Le Mans this Saturday evening (20h45) in the closing fixture of matchday 6.
The young forward owes his call-up to four simultaneous absences: Senny Mayulu and Alessandro Longoni are injured, while Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes have been rested following the international break, in preparation for upcoming fixtures.
Ndjantou is no stranger to the senior squad. Last season, he featured in ten Ligue 1 matches and scored a goal at Metz in December. This season, he had already been called up for the Ligue des Champions against Slovan Bratislava, though he did not take the pitch.
Saturday’s circumstances offer him a concrete opportunity to earn his first minutes in the league under Luis Enrique’s management.
