Mbappé named La Liga player of the month for October, ahead of Yamal and Grimaldo
With five goals in four La Liga matches in October, including a brace in the Clasico, Kylian Mbappé has been named La Liga's best player of the month, his fourth such award this season.
Kylian Mbappé has been officially named La Liga player of the month for October, ahead of Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Grimaldo. The Real Madrid striker was the driving force behind his club’s month, scoring five goals in four league matches.
This distinction is the fourth of its kind for the Frenchman this season, following awards in January, September and October 2025. It caps a remarkable run: Mbappé scored a brace in the Clasico against FC Barcelona, directly contributing to four consecutive La Liga victories for Real Madrid during the period.
The form of the former Paris player extends well beyond Spanish football alone. Across all competitions, he has found the net in his last six matches with Real Madrid, including a goal against AEK Athens in the Ligue des Champions. His tally now stands at 16 goals in 15 matches this season, a rate that places him among Europe’s most prolific strikers.
The France captain will return to La Liga this Saturday, away at Valencia. Mbappé approaches the trip with confidence: he has scored three times in four meetings against the Valencian club.
