EA Sports published on Monday the official ratings for FC 27, the next edition of its football simulation expected to go on sale September 25. Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland share the top spot with a rating of 91 out of 99.

For Mbappé, the distinction rewards a solid individual season and a standout World Cup with the French national team, of which he is captain. The Frenchman and the Norwegian are ahead of a group of players rated 90, among them Lamine Yamal, Vitinha, Ousmane Dembélé, Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Pedri.

The other notable piece of information from this reveal concerns Lionel Messi. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, author of a great World Cup, sees his rating increase by three points to reach 89. The Argentine thus finds himself tied with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes and Vinicius Junior in the game’s hierarchy.
