Man United's iconic 1991 European Cup Winners' Cup shirt drops to £20 in early Black Friday deal
Adidas's one-to-one remake of the shirt worn when Alex Ferguson's side beat Barcelona in Rotterdam has fallen from £90 to around £20 through a cashback promotion at Pro:Direct Sport.
Manchester United’s adidas ‘Bring Back 1991’ away shirt — a faithful remake of the jersey worn when Alex Ferguson’s side lifted the European Cup Winners’ Cup — has dropped to an effective price of £20.10 through a cashback deal at Pro:Direct Sport, down from its original retail price of £90.
The shirt is part of the Man United x adidas Bring Back 1991 collection, described by adidas as a ‘one-to-one remake’ of the strip worn during the 1990/91 European Cup Winners’ Cup campaign. Ferguson’s United claimed the trophy in Rotterdam with a 2-1 victory over Barcelona, making the jersey one of the more storied pieces of club memorabilia from that era.
Pro:Direct Sport has already reduced the price from £90 to £36. The lower £20.10 figure is available only to new members of cashback platform TopCashback, who receive a £15 sign-up bonus on top of standard cashback when purchasing through the site. Existing TopCashback members can still access the shirt for £35.10 after cashback — considerably less than the £72 charged on the official adidas site or the £90 listed at the Man United Store.
The shirt features a subtle all-over pattern on white jacquard fabric, with red and white detailing on the cuffs and collar and a special club crest surrounded by European Cup Winners’ Cup wording. Customers at Pro:Direct have rated it 4.9 stars out of five.
“A brilliant remake of the 1991 ECWC shirt,” one reviewer wrote. “A great looking shirt and one that really does stand out in the crowd.”
Another noted: “Looks even better in person. The quality is also great, just runs a bit bigger than a regular jersey.”
Sizing is worth bearing in mind — multiple reviewers flagged that the shirt runs larger than a standard jersey, so those in doubt may want to consider sizing down.
