The UEFA Champions League League Phase gets underway on 8 September, with the full schedule of fixtures now confirmed. Porto vs Manchester City is the first match on the calendar, marking Enzo Maresca’s debut as City manager in European competition.

After the first international break of the season, Manchester United travel to Madrid to face Atlético on 13 October. A week later, on 20 October, Liverpool host Villarreal at Anfield in what will be Andoni Iraola’s first Champions League match as Reds head coach.

Manchester United then host Roma at Old Trafford on 3 November, before Arsenal face Borussia Dortmund at home on 24 November. The Gunners enter the competition looking to go further than last season, when they were beaten in the final.

A further fixture on 8 December is yet to be announced and will be confirmed at a later date.

Presenter Gabby Logan will front coverage from pitch-side, joined by Champions League winners Wayne Rooney, Clarence Seedorf and Daniel Sturridge as pundits. Jon Champion and Alan Shearer will provide match commentary, with Alex Aljoe and Gabriel Clarke reporting from the stadiums.
