Mallorca goalkeeper Ivan 'Pichu' Cuellar was rushed to hospital on Monday after a large decorative structure in the dining room at the club's Ciutat Esportiva training facility collapsed on him, leaving him with a serious head injury.

The incident occurred ahead of a scheduled training session at the facility, also known as Son Bibiloni. Cuellar was taken to hospital for treatment and was set to remain under observation for at least 24 hours, the club confirmed.
In an official statement, Mallorca said: “This morning, Ivan ‘Pichu’ Cuéllar suffered a serious head injury after a large structure, which formed part of the decor in the dining room at the Ciutat Esportiva collapsed. The player has been taken to hospital for treatment and will remain under observation for the next 24 hours.”
Cuellar plays for Mallorca in Spain’s second division, and the club has not yet provided further details on the extent of his injuries or a timeline for his potential return to training.
