Andoni Iraola has moved quickly in his first transfer window as Liverpool manager, with the club already confirming the £34.6m signing of Spain international Victor Munoz from Osasuna — and two further transfer stories now dominating the agenda at Anfield.

Liverpool revive interest in Khephren Thuram

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport. The 25-year-old France international was previously a target of Jurgen Klopp when Thuram was at Ligue 1 side Nice, and the link has now been reignited under Iraola.

Thuram has been a consistent presence for Juventus over the past two seasons, though he was notably absent from Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the 2026 World Cup this month. Standing at 6‘4”, his physicality and two-way running profile appear well-suited to the high-energy, high-pressing system Iraola is expected to implement at Anfield.

Liverpool’s midfield was widely identified as a key reason for the club’s dip in form last season, with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister both struggling to replicate their previous levels of performance. Reinforcing that area of the pitch appears to be a priority for the new head coach.

Inter Milan set July 16 deadline for Curtis Jones

Inter Milan’s pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has resurfaced this summer after initial interest in January. Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has already met his Inter counterpart Piero Ausilio to discuss a potential deal, according to Sport Witness, though the two clubs remain apart on valuation — Inter have bid £17m while Liverpool are holding out for £26m.

Despite the gap, Inter have not walked away. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that once the Serie A champions finalise a deal for Atalanta’s Marco Palestra, they will push to secure Jones before their pre-season training begins on July 16, effectively setting a self-imposed deadline for the move.

Jones, 24, came through Liverpool’s academy and has been a squad regular in recent seasons. His potential departure would follow the exits of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate, representing a significant reshaping of the squad Iraola has inherited.
