Liverpool will host Tottenham Hotspur in the headline fixture of the Carabao Cup third round, after the draw paired the two clubs in what is the most eye-catching tie of the round. The eight Premier League clubs competing in European football this season were included in a separate mini-draw to determine home or away status before being slotted into the bracket.

Bradford, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Everton all advanced on the night to secure their places in the third round alongside the top-flight European sides.

Manchester United will host Brighton, while Arsenal make the trip to Ipswich Town. Manchester City face Norwich City, and Everton take on Wolves. West Ham’s opponent will be confirmed once Fulham and AFC Wimbledon settle their earlier tie, and Chelsea’s third-round match against Leeds United depends on the outcome of their game with Luton Town.
