Liverpool beats Crystal Palace and returns to Premier League top four
After losing to Arsenal the previous week, Liverpool bounced back with a 3-1 victory away at Crystal Palace in the 10th round of Premier League action, capitalizing on Chelsea's defeat at Sunderland to climb back into the top four.
Liverpool returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 3-1 victory away at Crystal Palace in the 10th round of Premier League action, a week after their defeat to Arsenal.
Mac Allister, Wirtz and Isak were the architects of this Liverpool success, described as “full of fortune” by observers. The result allows the Reds to return to the top four at Chelsea’s expense, who were beaten at the same time at Sunderland (0-1). Liverpool now trails Arsenal, the league leaders, by nine points.
In the standings, Brighton occupies second place ahead of Manchester City, following the Seagulls’ success over Brentford (2-0). Crystal Palace, managed by Pierre Sage, suffered a home defeat that further complicates their situation.
