Laure Boulleau to Release Documentary on Violence in Football in October

Laure Boulleau is set to release a documentary on violence in football in October, she announced at a back-to-school press conference. The former French international, now working as an analyst, will meet both perpetrators of violence and actors working to address it.

“I observe that football is plagued by violence on all sides. I have decided to make it my cause,” Boulleau said in a statement. “In this documentary, I want to meet those responsible for violence as well as actors trying to provide solutions. It’s about both diagnosing the problem and visiting those who are taking action and proposing remedies.”

The former PSG player, 38, clarified that the film will also mark the launch of an association she is creating to combat violence in football, giving this project an activist dimension.

This documentary fits into an already well-established editorial trajectory for Boulleau since her career transition. She notably launched the series “24 Hours with Boulleau,” in which she spends a day within a club or national team, and is among the main figures in “New Explorers,” where she meets influential women in Japan and Brazil. She also participates as a juror on the show “At the Microphone.”

With this new project, Boulleau takes another step by addressing a social issue directly linked to her lifelong sport, while combining it with concrete associative commitment.
