« A beautiful obsession », the landmark documentary about Pep Guardiola, will be available in France from September 9. Released on August 19 in the United Kingdom, this four-part film provides complete immersion into the Spanish coach’s final two seasons on the Manchester City bench.

The documentary presents an unusually vulnerable Guardiola, grappling with his team’s sporting difficulties. He is notably seen announcing his divorce to his players in a speech delivered directly in the dressing room — a sequence that illustrates how close the film gets to the intimate life of the Catalan tactician.

Several other productions are also announced for the upcoming season. In October, journalist Laure Boulleau will present « Et si on se calmait? », a documentary about violence in football. Hugo Ekitike will also be featured in « Rédemption », which looks back at his recent months at Liverpool: the striker had excelled before suffering a serious injury, which cost him his place for the 2026 World Cup.

In November, « L’Empreinte des Lyonnes » will offer a documentary series on the Olympique Lyonnais women’s team. RC Lens and Olympique Lyonnais will also be the subject of journalistic coverage focused on their respective European campaigns: the Ligue des Champions for Lens, the Ligue Europa for Lyon.
