Juventus collapse at Genoa and drop to eighth place in Serie A
Beaten 2-0 by Genoa in the 9th round of Serie A, Juventus extends their winless streak to four matches and falls to eighth place, eleven points behind Inter and Lazio.
Juventus collapsed away at Genoa on Wednesday evening (2-0), in the 9th round of Serie A, sinking deeper into a results crisis that is beginning to cause concern.
The Turin side were caught off guard in the first half-hour by Ehizibue (12th minute) and then Baldanzi (28th minute), never finding the resources to turn the tide. It is the fourth consecutive match without a win for the Old Lady, who have collected only four points over this past month of the championship.
In the standings, the situation is worrying. Juventus now sits in eighth place, overtaken at the same time by Naples, who won at Monza (1-4). The two clubs expected to lead the table find themselves both relegated eleven points behind the leading duo formed by Inter Milan and Lazio.
