Hamilton confirms Kardashian's support after Monaco podium lifts him to second in championship
Lewis Hamilton acknowledged Kim Kardashian's presence in the Ferrari garage at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, saying she 'does that for me every day.' The result — a second-place finish — moved Hamilton above George Russell into second in the drivers' standings.
Lewis Hamilton publicly acknowledged Kim Kardashian’s role in his support network after finishing second at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, a result that lifted him to second in the Formula 1 drivers’ championship ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell.
Speaking to media following the race in Monte Carlo, Hamilton was asked about the support he had received across the weekend — a weekend in which Kardashian was visibly present in the Ferrari garage as his guest. “Oh yeah, it’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support, but with my friends, incredible turnout just overall with people,” he said. “I don’t really know what else to say. It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day.”
Hamilton and Kardashian have been acquainted for years, but speculation about a romantic relationship intensified after the pair were spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party at the close of 2025. Hamilton’s comments in Monaco represent his most direct public acknowledgement of their connection to date.
On the track, the result was Hamilton’s third podium of the 2026 season. The 18 points earned in the principality were enough to leapfrog Russell in the standings, underlining Ferrari’s improving pace through the early part of the campaign.
“P2, RUN IT BACK!! Always a tough one, and today’s conditions made it even more challenging. Massive shout to the team for the hard work, both here at the track and back in Maranello,” Hamilton wrote on Instagram after the race. “Today’s result really shows the progress we’re continuing to make. Still more to do before we consistently fight for wins, but I know we’ll keep pushing to get there.”
The 2026 F1 season continues with the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona from 12–14 June.
