Hamilton carries tribute to late bulldogs Roscoe and Coco into Monaco paddock

Lewis Hamilton drew an emotional reaction from Formula 1 fans at the Monaco Grand Prix after arriving at the Monte Carlo paddock with a custom holdall bearing the faces of his late bulldogs, Roscoe and Coco — a personalised gift he received back in 2018.
For years, Roscoe and Coco were fixtures of the F1 paddock in their own right. The pair of bulldogs held VIP access passes, attracted fans at circuits around the world, and built a combined Instagram following of 1.3 million on the Roscoe Loves Coco account. Roscoe also served as chief taste officer for plant-based dog food brand Bramble, appeared on the cover of Dogue magazine, and earned a cameo in the 2024 F1 film. Coco passed away in 2020, and Hamilton announced Roscoe’s death in September 2025.
Photos of Hamilton carrying the bag as he walked through Monte Carlo spread quickly online, prompting a wave of tributes from supporters. “Love that he’s had it for a long time and still uses it,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “The gift is apparently from 2018, which makes the fact that he still has it even nicer,” added another. Several others described being moved to tears. “Now I’m crying,” one user posted, while another wrote: “I miss Roscoe, he was an essential part of the paddock.”
On track, Hamilton’s Monaco weekend opened positively. The seven-time champion posted the second-fastest time in the first free practice session before going quickest in FP2 around the streets of Monte Carlo. A third practice session is scheduled for Saturday 7 June ahead of qualifying later that day, with the Monaco Grand Prix itself taking place on Sunday 8 June.
